Our Story
We dig records
so you don't have to.
Well, actually, we want you to dig records too. That's the whole point. But we spend our days sifting through crates, auctions, and collections so that when you visit, every record on the shelf is worth your time.
Started from the crate
WaxDigger started the way most record shops do: with someone who had far too many records and absolutely no intention of stopping. What began as a weekend market stall and a Discogs page has grown into a proper record shop, both online and in the real world.
We specialise in quality over quantity. Every record we stock has been listened to, graded honestly, and priced fairly. Whether you're after a pristine reissue of a jazz classic or a battered-but-beloved copy of something obscure, we take the same care with every single one.
We buy records too. If you've got a collection gathering dust, we'd love to hear from you. We give fair prices and we'll come to you — no lugging boxes to the post office required.

What we're about
Curated, not crammed
We don't stock everything. Every record is hand-picked and honestly graded. If it's on our shelves, it's because we think it's worth your money and your time.
Community first
Record shops are about people, not just products. Whether you're a seasoned collector or buying your first turntable, you'll always get a warm welcome and honest advice.
Vinyl is the format
We believe in the ritual of putting on a record. The artwork, the liner notes, the crackle. It's not nostalgia — it's simply the best way to listen to music.
The team
The people behind the counter (and behind the screen).
Danny
Founder & Chief Digger
Jazz obsessive. Spends more time grading records than sleeping. Favourite label: Blue Note (obviously).
Sam

Walks in the door and heads straight for the soul section. Has strong opinions about inner sleeves.
Jess

Electronic and ambient specialist. Makes the website work and the social media actually look good.
